About Me

Teleri Cook is a contemporary photographer based in Swansea, South Wales, with experience in event and studio photography. Currently pursuing a degree in photography in the arts at Swansea College of Art (UWTSD).Cook's work surrounds ideas of memories, death and using art as a way of expression. She takes advantage of her free time to delve into a wider range of themes and genres, including landscape, portraiture, street photography and more.Cook has showcased her work in year-end, site-specific, and private exhibitions with experience in framing and mounting her pieces. She has a passion for film photography and aims to focus on working with film and in the darkroom more in the coming years. Teleri Cook uses photography as a form of discussion regarding different topics, taking influence from artists such as Cindy Sherman and Takeshi Mizukoshi.These topics change often as Cook touches on topics that are relevant in the present political climate, but identity and grief remains a big part of their work.
